What You'll Be Doing
The Dietitian provides high-quality nutrition care to consumers admitted to inpatient mental health services at Northern Beaches Hospital, including the Acute Adult Mental Health Unit, Psychogeriatric Unit and Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC). Working as part of a multidisciplinary team,



the Dietitian plays a key role in supporting the physical health, recovery and wellbeing of consumers with complex mental health needs.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
Qualification which provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitian Association of Australian (DAA) and hold current Accredited Practicing Dietitian status (APD).
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional education and development.
Demonstrated commitment to, and experience with quality improvement and evaluation processes that enhance service delivery and clinical practice standards.
Strong organisational and time management skills, clinical reasoning and decision making and ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to engage and motivate patients/ consumers.
Confident in the use of information technology.
This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases. The full list of requirements are outlined in the NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 11). You will be required to complete the OASV Undertaking/ Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool during the recruitment process.
