Hospital Claims Team Leader
We'relooking for an experienced and people-focused Team Leader to lead our Hospital Claims Assessors through an exciting period of change. In this role,you'llbalance operational delivery with coaching and development, ensuring hospital claims are assessed accurately, on time, and in line with our service standards.

Teachers Health was created by teachers for teachers over 70 years ago and is the only health fund exclusively for the education community. As a not-for-profit health fund, we exist for our members covering the lives of over 500,000 teachers, education staff & their families.
What will you do? / How will you help?
As a Hospital Team Leader,you'llplay a key role in the day-to-day success of our hospital claimsteam. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead andmanagea team of Hospital Claims Assessorsinachieving performanceandcontinuous development, including workload management and workforce planning.
Coach, upskill and ensure competency development across the teamin achieving KPI and service standards.
Ensureongoingcompliance withboth legislative frameworks and business practice.
Lead the implementation of policy,process,and system changes for the Hospital Team.
Collaborate andmaintaineffective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.




Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and creating best practice processes.
Provide technicalexpertiseandfunction asa subject matter expert with the hospitalspace.
Identifycompliance issues, fraudrisk,and opportunities to minimise benefitleakage.
What do you need? /What are we looking for?
Essential:
ProvenTeam Leaderexperience (including managing performance and difficult conversations)
Strong process orientation with the ability to support others throughchange.
Experience working in high-volume, KPI-drivenenvironments.
Effective communicationand stakeholder engagement skills
Confidence using Microsoft Office and internalsystems.
Desirable:
Private Health Insurance or claimsexperience.
Hospital claims knowledge or familiarity with hospital/clinical terminology
Experience with HAMBS or similar claims systems
Qualifications in Business,Management,or a related field
Working style:
A people leader who can bring positive energy while supporting an established team

This role requires you to be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
The salary package for this role is $124,244 (incsuper)
