State Director of Cost Management - Queensland
This is an opportunity for an established leader with a strong network across the Brisbane property market to build on those relationships while establishing and leading the Brisbane Quantity Surveying function of a nationally recognised advisory business.
As State Director, you'll join the National Executive Team and take ownership of growing the Brisbane Quantity Surveying capability. Supported by an established Project Management division, you'll have the autonomy to build and lead your own team while leveraging existing client relationships, joint tenders and cross-disciplinary opportunities to expand the business across Queensland.

What you'll be doing
You'll lead the Brisbane Quantity Surveying function, combining project leadership, client development and team growth to establish a market-leading presence across the Queensland property sector.
Working closely with public and private sector clients, you'll oversee major property projects from early feasibility through to completion, providing strategic commercial advice while strengthening long-term relationships and identifying new opportunities for the business.




A key part of the role will be leveraging your existing network across the Queensland property market to generate new business, expand existing client relationships and position the Brisbane team for continued growth. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, contribute to major pursuits and represent the business across the market.
Internally, you'll recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing Quantity Surveying team while fostering a collaborative culture built on technical excellence, commercial insight and exceptional client service.
You'll also collaborate closely with the Project Management division and National Executive Team, leveraging shared client relationships, joint tenders and cross-disciplinary opportunities to deliver an integrated service offering while helping shape the long-term growth strategy of the business.
What you'll need
An established reputation within the Brisbane Quantity Surveying and property market
A strong existing client network with a proven ability to generate new business opportunities
Extensive experience leading major property projects from feasibility through to completion
Demonstrated experience building, mentoring and leading high-performing teams
Strong commercial judgement with the ability to advise senior clients and executive stakeholders
AIQS, RICS or equivalent professional accreditation
