You will provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership across the designated Primary Health Centres and/or Correctional Centres, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality and patient-focused healthcare services.
About us:
The Director of Nursing (DON) at Georgetown Primary Health Centre provides clinical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based healthcare services that meet community needs.
Working closely with the DONM/FM Atherton, the role is responsible for service planning, budget oversight, workforce management and emergency nursing services, including management of the Hospital Based Ambulance, while supporting a shared clinical coverage model across the facility.

About your opportunity:
In this position you will...
Provide expertise on nursing/midwifery professional issues in relation to remote health services and collaborate with others in the provision of policy advice issues relating to professional and clinical practice, education and research.
Lead and coordinate quality improvements, understand the broad responsibility for safety and quality in healthcare and actively participates in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace, in alignment with skilled competency standards for nursing and midwifery.
Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing, midwifery, operational and administration staff, and monitor staff practices and implementation.
