Generator Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Tradesman / Welder to join our team in Rocklea, Queensland. We have 2 Permanent or Casual positions offering a competitive salary and overtime. As a Sheet Metal Tradesman / Welder, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing and assembly of high-quality industrial soundproof generator enclosures and related equipment.
What you'll be doing
Fabricate custom sheet metal components and products
Operate a variety of welding equipment, including MIG and TIG welders.
Measure, cut, bend, and form sheet metal parts using Pan-brake and Press.
Assemble and install completed sheet metal components and products.
Comply with all relevant health, safety, and quality control standards
What we're looking for
Formal trade qualification in sheet metal fabrication or welding
Hands‐on experience in a similar role, preferably in the trades or manufacturing industry
Minimum of 3-5 years of sheet metal fabrication or welding experience is required
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
Skilled in the use of various welding techniques, hand tools, and power tools




Candidates must be proficient in both MIG and TIG welding techniques
Robust attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem‐solving skills
