About the role
We are seeking a Quality and Compliance Officer to join Ameya Care Support Services on acontract basisas maternity cover.
This is a full-time position based inCairns, QLD, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the disability support sector.
In this strategic role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Ameya Care Support Services maintains compliance with all relevant regulations, standards and legislative requirements.
You will play a crucial part in developing, implementing and monitoring quality assurance frameworks that safeguard the wellbeing of our clients and uphold our commitment to excellence.
This position is integral to our operations, supporting management and staff across all service areas to deliver safe, high-quality care.
Key responsibilities
Develop, implement and monitor quality assurance policies, procedures and frameworks in accordance with relevant legislation and industry standards
Conduct regular audits and compliance reviews across all service areas to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established standards
Prepare and maintain comprehensive NDIS compliance documentation, including records, reports and evidence to support regulatory submissions and assessments
Provide training, guidance and support to staff on compliance requirements, quality standards and best practice in service delivery
Monitor and analyse quality metrics, producing regular reports and recommendations to management
Ensure our services are person-centred, promoting the rights, dignity and autonomy of all clients we support
Assist in the development of continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning efforts
What we're looking for
Proven experience working in quality assurance and/or compliance roles, ideally within aged care, disability services or community services sectors
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and standards including the Disability Care National Quality Standards Framework, or equivalent regulatory frameworks
Strong understanding of risk management, audit processes and quality improvement methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to diverse audiences
Demonstrated ability to investigate complaints and incidents professionally and objectively
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience with compliance management systems or databases
A compassionate, person-centred approach to quality and compliance work
Certificate IV or Diploma level qualification in Aged Care, Disability Support, Quality Management or related field (or equivalent experience)
Relevant professional certifications or memberships in quality or compliance disciplines would be advantageous
