Accounts Payable Officer – Residential Construction

We are a rapid-growing residential construction company committed to delivering quality homes and exceptional customer service. With a high-volume, fast-paced finance team, we're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer who thrives on accuracy, organisation, and meeting deadlines.

About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring supplier and subcontractor invoices are processed accurately and paid within agreed timeframes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a agile construction workplace and is passionate about providing outstanding internal and external customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Process high volumes of supplier and subcontractor invoices.
Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
Verify invoice approvals and resolve discrepancies.
Liaise with Site Supervisors, Construction Managers and suppliers regarding invoice queries.
Prepare weekly/fotnighlty/monthly payment runs.
Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding items.
Ensure compliance with Security of Payment legislation and company payment procedures.




Assist with the onboarding of new subcontractors.
Assist with maintaining subcontractor compliance records and ensure documentation remains current.
Assist with month-end accounts payable reconciliations.
Support the wider finance team with administrative duties as required.

About You
Previous experience in an Accounts Payable position (construction industry experience highly regarded).
Experience processing high-volume invoices.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A proactive approach to problem solving.
