Cali Press is one of Australia's fastest-growing healthy rapid-casual brands. We've built a loyal following on craveable, nutritious food — and now we're scaling production and distribution to match our growth ambitions. This role sits right at the centre of that story.
As our Production & QA Lead, you'll take ownership of our Sydney production facility — the operation behind everything we serve across our network. You will set the standard for quality and safety, lead a hands‐on team, and build the systems that will define how Cali Press operates as we grow toward 50+ sites nationally.
This is not a maintain-the-status-quo role. You'll have real input into how production scales, real visibility with leadership, and the chance to shape something from the ground floor.
What you'll own
Day-to-day production and distribution operations — quality, safety, and efficiency targets across the board
Design and management of our QA programs: GMP compliance, quality audits, corrective actions
Regulatory and food safety standards across all production workflows
Building and coaching a high-performing production team, grounded in accountability and care




Production scheduling and workflow planning to meet wholesale and network demand
Partnering directly with leadership on operational planning as we scale nationally, including working on new product development
Rosters, payroll and close support for the production team
Development of the production team as we grow
What you bring
Experience leading teams in a food manufacturing, commercial kitchen, or production environment
Solid grounding in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Management Systems
HACCP certification and Food Safety Supervisor qualification (or willingness to obtain)
Working knowledge of GMP and food safety regulation, ideally with hands‐on implementation experience
A calm head under pressure and sharp instincts for solving problems before they become bigger ones
Strong organisational chops — you notice the details others miss
A relevant degree is a plus but not essential — we care more about what you've actually done.
