Wonderland Community Services (Pirates Rest) is inviting Expressions of Interest from compassionate, resilient, and skilled Youth Workers to join our Casual Youth Worker Pool.
As our services continue to grow, we may need to establish new teams at any stage. We're looking to connect with experienced workers now so we have a solid pool of quality staff ready when opportunities arise.
If you're passionate about supporting children and young people with complex needs and want to make a genuine difference, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for people who are:
Experienced working with children and young people.
Confident supporting participants with disability, mental health and complex behaviours.
Skilled in managing challenging behaviours while maintaining emotional safety.
Committed to trauma-informed practice, empathy and professional boundaries.
Flexible with availability, including weekends,
sleepovers and school holiday periods where required.
Committed to ongoing learning and professional development, including internal training and training delivered by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs).
Essential Requirements
Current Driver's Licence.
Comprehensive motor vehicle insurance.
Valid Blue Card & current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Certificate IV in Community Services (or related qualification) preferred, or willingness to enrol.

You'll remain calm under pressure, communicate professionally, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and always place participants at the centre of your practice. You'll enjoy working as part of a supportive team while helping children and young people build independence, life skills and confidence in challenging yet incredibly rewarding environments.
