Use your attention to detail to resolve data issues, improve record quality, and support reliable patient information across the health service.
The Team This position is part of a small, supportive team that works closely together to deliver high-quality health information and administrative services. Team members are encouraged to share knowledge, support one another, and contribute ideas to continually improve processes and service delivery.
The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively while also exercising initiative and autonomy in day-to-day responsibilities. The Role Participate in the day to day identification, review and management of potential duplicate records according to documented processes. Merge identified duplicate records in the PAS, ensuring that associated data in downstream systems attached to the Tasmanian Health Client Index (THCI) are handled appropriately,
including provision of merge notification to System Administrators where necessary.
Run reports which support the management of the identification systems and assist users in resolving data integrity problems. You will need Knowledge and practical experience in medical records management, including the use of computerised health information systems. High level interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to show initiative and discretion, and maintain confidentiality.
Experience in the use of various software packages for the production of reports, spreadsheets and databases, with the ability to undertake analysis of data and reports, and the ability to learn new software applications. Note:

Details of appointment Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible up to 6 months.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary $76,849 to $82,996 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement ****.
