Veterinary Supplies - Storeperson/Inwards
We are looking for an experienced storeperson to join our small but well oiled team, with a strong focus on inwards goods and the potential to grow into a 2IC-style role over time. You'll bring solid hands-on warehouse experience and be someone the team can lean on when it comes to receiving, checking and processing stock accurately.
You should be someone who will enjoy working closely with not only the warehouse team, but also with our customer service, education and sales teams. We are committed to ensuring our customers have a seamless experience starting with exceptional service and accurate and timely pick, pack and despatch.
The role is full-time Monday to Friday onsite
The hours for this role are 8:30am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities
Receive, check and sort incoming purchase orders, ensuring quantities and paperwork match before stock is put away
Unload containers and palletise stock for storage in racking
Accurately pick, pack and dispatch customer orders in a timely and cost-effective manner
Process customer returns and generate credit notes
Replenish shelves and picking locations when stock levels are low, keeping an eye out for discrepancies
Help keep inventory accurate, flagging and helping resolve stock issues as they come up
Support and share knowledge with other team members,
and help keep things running smoothly when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable
Occasionally assist Customer Service team with order or stock-related enquiries
Skills and Experience
Proven experience in a warehouse or store setting, ideally with solid exposure to receiving/inwards processes
A can-do attitude and enjoy working as part of a small close knit team - this is a hands-on role, not a desk job
Comfortable using initiative and taking ownership of tasks without needing close supervision
Be physically fit and able to work on your feet throughout the day
Capable of safely lifting and carrying cartons up to 25kg unassisted
Forklift licence highly regarded (if no forklift licence, then willingness to obtain a forklift licence)
