This great opportunity at Petbarn as an Area Manager across our Newcastle region will suit a pet-passionate, multi-site, retail leader looking to lead a successful network of stores.
Strong retail multi-site leadership experience is essential to be successful in this role!
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced retail area manager to join our team and lead our Newcastle and NSW North Coast stores and will encompass all aspects of retail area management leadership across 14 stores in the region.
Your current experience will demonstrate that you have a minimum of 3-5 years, multi-site, retail (high volume specialty or FMCG) area management experience and a strong retail management history.
Your primary objective will be to lead, guide and motivate passionate store managers and their teams within the region.
You must be a people focused leader that thrives on building a positive culture, where team are the centre point of your role.
The Chance Manage the day-to-day operations of your area group, ensuring consistent service excellence and compliance with company policies and proceduresLead, coach and develop store management teams to maximise individual and store performanceClosely monitor sales, inventory,



operational metrics and customer satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvementCollaborate with the central Petbarn team to plan and execute regional business initiativesFoster a positive, customer-centric culture across your area of responsibility What We Need A self-sufficient leader that needs minimal supervision but thrives on achieving goals.
You love creating succession plans and having teams that drive for success.You will be from a high-volume retailer and must possess a minimum of 3-5 years multi-site experience (you will be managing up to 14 high volume, fast paced stores) A similar volume inventory environment will be highly regardedHave a proven ability in achieving budgeted sales, margin and EBIT targets, whilst presenting results to the senior leadership teamBe someone that loves creating strong morale and driving your team to support sales, profit and customer focus initiativesYou will be both strategic and operational in your approach to profitability and business expansionHave exceptional relationship building and decision-making skills with a down to business attitude that creates an environment for an effective team is paramount.Have the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels of the business, both support office and store level Applications for this role will close on the 12th of July.
