Progroup Management is seeking a practical and experiencedBuilding Maintenance Estimator / Site Assessorto join our team based atMinchinbury.
This role would suit someone with experience in building maintenance, repairs, reactive works, minor works, insurance repairs, residential construction, commercial maintenance or facilities maintenance who is confident attending sites, identifying required works, preparing clear scopes and pricing works accurately.
This is not an on-the-tools trade role and it is not a full-time site supervision role.
However, you will need to be comfortable getting out to site, speaking with clients and site contacts, checking on works when required, and working closely with our internal trades and subcontractors.

We have a long-standing team of trades, supervisors and support staff, and we pride ourselves on being practical, responsive and easy to deal with.
As we continue to grow our maintenance and minor works capability, we are looking for someone who can help us inspect, scope and price works accurately while building strong relationships with clients and our internal delivery team.
About the role
The key focus of this role is to inspect, scope and quote building maintenance, reactive repairs and minor works.
You will attend client sites to assess requested works, prepare practical scopes, take photos and measurements, identify required trades, and bring that information back to the office to prepare estimates and quotes.
The role also includes liaising with clients, building strong working relationships, quoting small reactive maintenance works, and checking in with our delivery team from time to time to ensure works are progressing in line with the agreed scope.
Key responsibilities
Attend client sites as required to inspect building maintenance, reactive works and minor works requests.
Assess what work is required and prepare clear, practical scopes of work.
Take site photos, measurements and notes to support pricing and documentation.
Prepare estimates and quotes for labour, materials, subcontractors and associated costs.
Quote small maintenance and reactive works in a timely and accurate manner.
Identify required trades, access issues, risks, exclusions and items requiring clarification.
Obtain and review subcontractor pricing where required.
Liaise with clients, site contacts, internal trades and subcontractors.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Check on works from time to time to confirm progress, quality and scope alignment.
Assist with the coordination of approved works through to completion.
Maintain clear job records,
scope notes, photos, pricing details and client communication.
About you
You will be practical, organised and confident dealing with people.
You do not need to be a licensed builder, but you do need to have enough building and maintenance knowledge to inspect a job, understand what is required and prepare a sensible scope and estimate.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
Experience estimating, quoting or scoping building repairs, maintenance or minor works.
Practical knowledge of common building trades and repair methods.
Ability to attend site and identify what work is required.
Confidence preparing clear scopes of work.
Ability to estimate labour, materials and subcontractor costs.
Experience quoting small maintenance or reactive works.
Good communication skills with clients, trades and subcontractors.
Strong attention to detail with photos, notes, measurements and documentation.
Ability to manage several small jobs at different stages.
Sound computer skills, including email, Excel and job/estimating systems.
Current driver's licence.
White Card preferred.
