Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Industry Research Senior Officer to join Office of Research Services, Research Portfolio, Academic Division.
As Industry Research Senior Officer you are an integral part of the Industry Research Pillar in the Office of Research Services (ORS), which delivers exceptional support service to the University in relation to commercial research, consultancies and tenders. You are responsible for the delivery of high quality customer services to the QUT research community and will significantly contribute to the development, implementation and delivery of internal policies, systems and processes to effectively support commercial research, consultancies and tenders' activities coordinated by the pillar.You will help identify opportunities to continuously improve the pillar's services taking into account current and future client needs and service delivery requirements.
You will interact with a range of stakeholders including other units within the Office of Research Services, academic and professional staff, external organisations, and members of the public.

What you need to succeed
Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience, preferably in a University work environment.
Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of the external research funding environment including consultancies, and ability to interpret related policies and procedures in a complex environment and to provide clear and consistent advice to clients and teams.
Demonstrated verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate, consult and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to proactively contribute to a high-functioning collaborative team environment with a strong customer focus.
Proven ability to display initiative, contribute new ideas, critically evaluate current systems and processes, and proactively contribute to continuous improvement in the provision of service delivery excellence.
Evidence of well-developed digital literacy skills and a demonstrable knowledge and understanding of relevant information systems and software related to the administration of research and consulting activities.
