As we prepare to restart this Southern Coalfields operation, we are seeking expressions of interest for experienced and motivated mechanical mining workers to join us in building a safe, productive and sustainable future.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of the next chapter of a mine with a proud history, helping establish a strong culture, rebuild capability and contribute to the long‐term success of the operation.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking expressions of interest for candidates for permanent positions based at Tahmoor Mine, located in the Southern Highlands of NSW, approximately 80 kilometres south‐west of Sydney and within easy commuting distance of Wollongong, the Macarthur region and surrounding communities.
We are looking for experienced
Underground Mechanical Mineworkers (Fitters)
to:
Execute work activities safely and according to the daily plan
Work with physical assets, plant and equipment as defined by the Operation's standards and operating procedures




Follow defect management processes to ensure equipment is maintained in a safe and fit for purpose state
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents and hazards
Weekday & Weekend Day/Afternoon/Night shift rosters are available.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will be a reliable team player with a positive attitude, sound work ethic and the ability to work safely and effectively in a production‐focused environment.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (must)
Experience working in an underground coal mine environment
Generic Underground Coal Induction, including Self‐Escape and CABA training
Statement of Attainment in Pneumatic Systems and Hydraulic Maintenance (1 & 2)
First Aid Certificate
High Risk Work Licence in Dogging
Current Driver's Licence
Robust commitment to safety and hazard awareness
