About the Role
In this position, you will report to the Senior Manager Business Risk Advisory as a specialist member of the Line 1 Risk and Control Advisory team supporting the Commercial and People, Culture and Communications Functions (Line 1 Business Functions).
Your duties and responsibilities
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships while supporting the delivery of risk advisory services to Leadership Teams.
Help business units apply enterprise risk frameworks and integrate risk into decision-making processes.
Support stakeholder engagement, communication, and collaboration across Line 1 and broader risk teams.
Assist with a range of risk assessments (including Risk in Change, supplier/partner, and strategic project risks) and ensure proper triage and documentation.
Support the identification, monitoring, and reporting of material risks, including developing key risk indicators and preparing insights-driven reports.
Assist with control assurance, incident and issue management, and the implementation of risk frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
About you




Demonstrated experience in risk management and/or control assurance within the financial services industry, with general insurance experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of risk strategies and frameworks used within the Australian financial services industry.
Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to the Australian financial services industry.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, Finance, or Law (desirable), with experience in business partnering or advisory activities viewed favourably.
Experience with risk assessment methodologies and frameworks, including an understanding of project risk management principles for strategic initiatives.
