About the role
As a Fabricator and/or Fencing and Gate Installer at Gate-O-Matic, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality fencing and gate solutions to our customers in Townsville and surrounds.
This full-time position is responsible for the skilled installation of a range of fencing and gate products, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
What you'll be doing
Working independently and within an awesome team.
Manufacturing of aluminium gates, fence panels and similar.
Installation of aluminium fencing materials, including posts and panels.
Hanging, adjusting, and programming automated gates and access control systems
Experience with automated gates and access control systems is preferred, however training will be provided for the right candidate
Completing all work to a high standard, adhering to safety protocols and quality control measures
Marking out, boxing up and pouring concrete for gate runners.
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, and ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained
Providing excellent customer service throughout the installation process
What we're looking for
Fabricator and Installers
Previous experience in aluminium product fabrication (for fabrication role) and installation and/or service (for installer role) is a must




Minimum 1 year of experience in fencing and/or gate installation is required for installer role
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address any challenges that may arise in office
A valid driver's licence (preferably manual) and your own reliable transportation to the shed - we have cars and will provide a work vehicle to the right applicant
A valid C class driver's licence is required for this position
A positive, customer-focused attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of an awesome team
