Rockdale City Chery, backed by one of Sydney's premier multi-franchise dealer networks, is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to take full ownership of our showroom.
Chery is redefining the Australian automotive landscape with its innovative, tech-forward line-up—including the highly popular C5, the Tiggo SUV range, and cutting-edge hybrid/EV models. As our Sales Manager, you will lead, mentor, and drive a dedicated team of Sales Consultants, optimising showroom traffic and building a robust pipeline of both new and pre‐owned inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance:
Manage, coach, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed monthly volume and gross profit targets.
Deal Structuring & F&I; Integration:
Actively close deals on the floor, structure finance opportunities, and work collaboratively with the Business Manager to maximise profitability.
Inventory & Stock Management:
Oversee new vehicle stock ordering, aging inventory control, and ensure optimal showroom presentation.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all contract paperwork, dealership logs, and customer CRM profiles are meticulously completed and maintained in line with company policy and standards.
Customer Experience (CSI):
Maintain exceptionally high customer satisfaction metrics by ensuring standard, fair, and qualified guest experiences from initial test drive to vehicle delivery.
Implement
effective sales strategies and processes to drive new and used car sales.
Analyse




sales data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Lead by example
, demonstrating exceptional sales techniques through personal sales efforts.
Provide regular updates
to senior management on sales performance, both team and individual, and team development.
Liaise with the marketing team
to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns.
What We're Looking For
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automotive sales management (as a Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager).
A proven track record of hitting volume and gross profit targets in a competitive retail environment.
Strong pipeline and CRM management skills (experience with major dealership DMS platforms is highly regarded).
A process-oriented leadership style—someone who values meticulous documentation, strict adherence to compliance standards, and fair, consistent dealership policies.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
A valid NSW Driver's License.
