About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll complete billing, claiming and reconciliation for supports delivered. You'll also be a direct point of contact for participants, plan managers, support coordinators and the NDIA when billing questions arise or when service agreements, ROCs and quotes are required.
This is a full-time, office-based role, with the option to work from home 2 days a week once training has been completed. You'll also be encouraged to build a broader understanding of how Aequalis runs, with opportunities to support other parts of the team when needed.
What You'll Be Doing
Creating and sending accurate invoices to plan managers and self-managed participants, using the correct NDIS support item, category and price.
Preparing and uploading bulk claim files for NDIA-managed participants through the NDIS Provider Portal
Reconciling payments against remittances and banking records, and chasing down discrepancies.
Following up overdue invoices and handling billing enquiries from participants, nominees, plan managers and the NDIA.

Preparing quotes for prospective participants, and completing schedules of supports, service agreements and rosters of care for new and current participants.
When required, supporting external bookkeepers with payroll-related functions.
Keeping across NDIS Price Guide and pricing schedule changes, and applying them to our billing practice.
What You'll Bring
A minimum of 18-months NDIS experience, ideally in a similar role, is required.
Strong attention to detail and confidence with numbers.
An understanding of the NDIS and financial compliant practice.
Experience with Xero, Microsoft Excel, and the NDIS Provider Portal.
Clear, qualified communication, especially over phone and email.
Ability to work independently while staying closely connected to the team.
A non-judgemental, respectful approach with participants and their families.
Clearances
This role requires a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check (paid work) and a National Police Check, obtained within the last 12-months.
What's On Offer
Flexibility to work from home 2 days a week, following training.
A supportive, close-knit team that values getting things right for participants.
Ongoing training and development, including support to build your NDIS and systems knowledge.
Hands-on guidance from the Executive team and wider Senior Management Team.
Aequalis Disability Services values diversity and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and people with disability.
