Our client, a well-established not-for-profit organisation based in Cheltenham, is seeking an experienced HRIS & Payroll Specialist with strong ConnX Micropay expertise to join them on a part-time temporary basis.

The need is for someone 3 days a week (Monday to Wednesday - some flexibility on this), ideally for an initial period of 3 months with potential for this to be extended and/or made permanent (not guaranteed).

This position does not involve payroll processing as this is handled by an external provider - The purpose of this role is troubleshooting, streamlining processes, and bringing order to complexity. Working closely with stakeholders and an external payroll provider, you will investigate current issues, build and improve workflows, and help ensure payroll is operating efficiently and accurately.

The Role

Key responsibilities may include (but not limited to) the following:

- Investigate and resolve payroll and HRIS process issues
- Configure, optimise and document workflows within ConnX / ConnX Micropay




- Manage the relationship with the external payroll provider
- Review payroll processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Ensure payroll data integrity, compliance and operational efficiency
- Provide practical recommendations to improve end-to-end payroll outcomes

The Person

The ideal candidate will join with the following skillset and prior experiences:

- Proven payroll expertise with a strong understanding of payroll legislation, entitlements and award interpretation (SCHADS / HPSS ideal but not essential)
- Demonstrated experience using ConnX / ConnX Micropay
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience building, reviewing and improving payroll workflows and processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and bring structure to a fast-moving setting
