We are currently seeking a new team member to join the Operations Team, which is the backbone of our business, based at the Mainfreight super site in Epping.

The role will be varied depending on the day's challenges. Still, most importantly, you will be involved in the day-to-day loading of our customers’ freight to multiple interstate destinations. You will also be required to liaise and work with the Mainfreight Operations team and various Mainfreight loaders on to ensure that our valued customers' freight is loaded on the date of receipt in the most efficient and profitable manner.

You will be joining a small team of multitasking superstars seeking to expand a relatively young brand in the Australian market. With the branch still in a growth phase, there is great future opportunity for team members to have bright and varied career paths within the business.

The ideal candidates will have current work experience in the transport sector, or if not, you can enthusiastically demonstrate how your experience matches the job during the interview process.

Of course, any experience and knowledge in the handling or transporting of dangerous and hazardous goods would be a great but not essential as comprehensive training will be given.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Loading and Unloading of Local Pick-up and Delivery Trucks
- Checking freight in and out of the depot
- Load restraint

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Ability to make educated decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Explicit, calm, respectful communicator when things go wrong
- Experience working in a small, fast paced team, comfortable multitasking and jumping in to help
- Demonstrated history of meeting deadlines or maintaining compliance records
- Attention to detail, ability to enforce a safety culture
- Must have a can-do attitude, willingness to improve and streamline processes
