Fixed-term seasonal roles | November 2026 to March 2027
Alexandra, Benalla, Myrtleford and Shelley

Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a practical, hands-on team? We are looking for Seasonal Fire Crew members to support HVP Plantations throughout the 2026/27 fire season.

These roles involve a mix of plantation work, fire preparedness and emergency response activities. The work is physical, varied and often completed in outdoor conditions across forest and plantation environments.

Positions are available at:

- Myrtleford
- Shelley

Applicants will be asked to nominate their preferred work centre.

What we are looking for:

The successful applicants:

- Must possess a current manual driver’s licence
- Live within 30 minutes of their nominated work depot (preferred,



however applications outside of this will be considered).
- Be able to pass a pre-employment fire functional assessment and a drug and alcohol test
- Be available to attend all compulsory training throughout November
- Be available for deployments in other regions when necessary
- Be available for regular rostered weekend standby within 15 minutes of the nominated depot (preferred, however applications outside of this will be considered).

Plantation work is diverse and involves four wheel driving, spraying, assisting with helicopter fertilising operations, track clearing, mapping, fire response and fuel reduction burning.

Current accreditations in chainsaw use, chemical use, first aid, firefighting and a MR license are favourable
