Pacific Blue is a purpose-driven renewable energy business looking for a senior specialist lawyer with retail energy experience.

As Head of Legal & Compliance (Retail), this is a rare prospect to step into a high-trust, high-impact position whereyou will lead the legal and compliance function for the retail energy business, and work directly with General Managers, the Executiveteam,and General Counsel to influence key decisions.

Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary and leading a small team, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal counsel to the Executive and Retail Leadership teams; and providing strategic input and leadership into the organisation’s retail compliance framework. In this role, you will lead the drafting,



negotiation and management of commercial agreements; provide commercially focused and risk-based legal advice; advise on applicable laws, regulatory obligations, licenses, industry codes, and market rules; and deliver comprehensive, expert compliance advice to support the organisation in meeting its compliance obligations.

Candidates who are qualified lawyers and offer at least 8 years’ quality experience in retail energy gained from working in a reputable law firm or strong in-house legal team will be ideal for this role.

Candidates should be well equipped to navigate a fast-paced work environment and operate independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership capability, strong written and verbal communication skills, a demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders, and an ability to balance commercial and regulatory considerations are essential.
