The JBS Riverina Plant is seeking a proactive Health, Safety & HR Support Officer to join our Riverina Plant team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will play a key role in supporting Work Health & Safety (WHS) and Human Resources (HR) processes across the site. In this role, you will provide First Aid support and respond to workplace incidents, assist with injury management processes including coordinating physiotherapy appointments, and conduct and coordinate pre-site testing. You will maintain accurate records and manage data entry within HRIS and injury management systems, while also contributing to WHS audits and compliance activities.

You will provide general HR admin support through documentation, record keeping and employee assistance, as well as promoting a strong safety culture across the site. You will support workplace rehabilitation in accordance with the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act and liaise with medical providers, employees and key stakeholders regarding workplace injuries and recovery plans.

- First Aid accredited (desirable, not essential)
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- A strong interest in workplace health, safety and HR
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- A proactive, hands‑on approach to supporting employees

About Us

Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere.

Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), our location ensures the ability to source high-quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 420 team members with a processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.
