Payne Butler Lang Solicitors are a long established firm located in Bundaberg. We are seeking a motivated solicitor to join our regional practice and assist our senior property solicitor in a broad property and commercial law role.

This position offers an excellent prospect for a solicitor looking to consolidate and develop their skills across residential and commercial conveyancing, business sales and leasing, while being supported by an experienced legal and conveyancing team.

About the role

You will work closely with our senior property solicitor and be supported by junior solicitors and an experienced conveyancing team. The role will include work across:

commercial conveyancing, including purchases and sales of commercial property;

business sales and purchases; and

retail, commercial and rural leasing.

You will have regular client contact and the opportunity to develop strong professional relationships. You will be encouraged to take increasing responsibility for matters appropriate to your experience, with active mentoring and supervision provided on more complex transactions.

with a practical and reasonable approach taken where additional time or flexibility is needed.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

have a minimum of 2 years’ post-admission experience practising in Queensland;

hold a current Queensland practising certificate;

have experience in residential conveyancing, with exposure to commercial conveyancing, leasing or business sales being highly regarded;

be able to manage files with appropriate supervision and guidance; and

demonstrate strong communication skills and a practical, client-focused approach.
