Childcare Centre Cook – Learn Play Grow Early Education and Care – Kardinya

Learn Play Grow Early Education and Care is a family owned early learning service committed to providing a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment for children and families.

We are currently seeking a confident and organised Cook to join our team at our Kardinya centre to prepare healthy, nutritious home-style meals for children aged 6 months to 6 years.

This is a permanent part time Monday to Friday position with no weekend work.

As our Centre Cook, you will prepare morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snacks while creating a positive and welcoming kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

- Preparing healthy and nutritious meals for children aged 6 months to 6 years
- Assisting with the development of seasonal menus that meet nutritional guidelines and cater for dietary requirements and allergies
- Ensuring food is prepared and stored in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations




- Managing kitchen stock, food ordering, and stock rotation

Qualifications

- Current Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Experience cooking in a childcare setting or similar environment is highly regarded
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A positive and reliable attitude
- Current Australian working rights
