About theRole
The ParksSupervisor is responsible for leading the delivery of parksmaintenance and operational services across the City, ensuringworks are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.The role provides leadership and direction to operational staffand contractors, overseeing daily work activities, workforceproductivity, quality assurance, and the effective use ofmaterials, plant, equipment and resources.
Theposition contributes to the management of operational budgets,procurement activities, contract performance and parks assetmaintenance. It also oversees the implementation of minor parkscapital projects, ensuring delivery within approved scope,budget and timelines.
Workingclosely with internal and external stakeholders, the ParksSupervisor supports service delivery through effectivecontractor management, customer service,
and the administrationof works management systems. The role also promotes a strongculture of safety, sustainability and continuous improvement,while providing relief support to the Service Lead Parks asrequired.
Aboutyou
You arean experienced parks professional with a strong background inparks operations, maintenance and asset management. You havedemonstrated success leading teams and contractors, deliveringhigh-quality outcomes, and maintaining a solid focus onsafety, productivity and customer service.
You bringstrong leadership, communication and organisational skills,with experience managing contractors, budgets and operationalpriorities. Your sound knowledge of horticulture, turfmanagement and/or arboriculture, combined with a commitment tosafety, sustainability and continuous improvement, will enableyou to thrive in this role. Relevant qualifications inHorticulture or Turf Management, together with the requiredlicences and certifications, are essential.
Salary andBenefits:
Starting from Level 6 Step 1 – Step 4 ($ 104,647 - $112,705) of the Ci ty of CockburnIndustrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.A city vehicle may be provided for commuting privileges subject tooperational requirements and Director approval.
