Role Description This part time on-site Dentist role is based at Better Health Network’s Bentleigh East, VIC location. The Dentist will provide high-quality, patient-centered dental care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of preventive and restorative treatments for community members of diverse backgrounds.



Daily responsibilities include performing clinical procedures, maintaining accurate and timely clinical records, collaborating with dental assistants and other health professionals, and educating patients on oral health and hygiene. The role also involves adhering to infection prevention and control standards, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and supporting BHN’s commitment to accessible, inclusive, and culturally safe care.

Qualifications

- Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Recognized dental degree and demonstrated experience in general dentistry within a community, public health, or private practice setting.
- Strong clinical skills in examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, preventive care, restorative procedures, and basic emergency dental management.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control standards, clinical safety protocols, and relevant Australian dental regulations and guidelines.
