Piping Engineer – Industrial Mechanical

Location: Brisbane

Responsibilities

- Contribute to the development of creative concept, feasibility and detailed engineering solutions that create real value for our clients.
- Prepare high-quality technical deliverables, including calculations, datasheets, specifications, reports, bid evaluations and cost estimates.
- Apply expertise across piping and pumped systems, pipelines, hydraulic modelling and broader mechanical engineering projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions on projects ranging from targeted studies through to major capital programs.
- Take ownership of work, balancing technical excellence with project delivery outcomes, budgets and schedules.
- Solve complex engineering challenges through practical, creative and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

- Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualifications and experience within industrial, resources, manufacturing or process sectors.
- Experience in piping and pumped systems,



piping design and stress analysis, pipelines and/or hydraulic analysis.
- Understanding of industry standards and design codes such as AS, API and ASME, and their application to process plant equipment and infrastructure.
- Knowledge of piping systems associated with pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, rotating equipment and process facilities.
- Experience using industry-leading engineering tools such as AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, NozzlePRO, WaterGEMS, Bentley HAMMER, FluidFlow, AFT Fathom or ANSYS.
- Ability to work effectively within project teams and contribute to successful project outcomes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical recommendations and build trusted relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Experience within the oil and gas sector will be highly regarded.
