Fluence is seeking a Market Strategy Analyst to help identify and pursue commercial opportunities emerging from Australia’s energy transition and one of the most dynamic energy markets in the world.

Responsibilities

- Research, analyse, and interpret market developments to support Fluence’s commercial, product, and customer engagement activities across Australia.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to generate insights that inform product positioning, customer engagement, and commercial decision‑making.
- Develop market insights and strategic recommendations that support decision‑making across Australian and global teams.
- Build and support business cases, project economics, and IRR models to evaluate new products, services, and market opportunities.
- Contribute to customer segmentation and market sizing that help Fluence prioritise customers, markets, and growth opportunities.
- Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to communicate market developments and emerging commercial opportunities.




- Leverage analysis to support the development of sales enablement materials and customer‑facing insights.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate market intelligence, customer needs, and regulatory developments into practical commercial initiatives and product improvements.
- Develop analytical tools, reporting frameworks, and market intelligence resources that support decision‑making.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen Fluence’s competitiveness and market position.
- Support industry engagement and thought leadership activities where appropriate.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in energy markets, renewable energy, infrastructure, advisory, market analytics, economics, policy, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex market, commercial, technical, or regulatory information.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial models, project economics, business cases, or IRR analysis.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Ability to develop clear recommendations from complex data and competing priorities.




- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.

Additional Skills

- Experience in customer segmentation, market sizing, competitor analysis, or market opportunity assessment.
- Exposure to product positioning, sales enablement, customer engagement, or go‑to‑market initiatives.
- Capability in Python, AI, automation, or data analytics tools to support research, modelling, and insight generation.
- Understanding of Australia’s energy transition and the role of energy storage in supporting a low‑carbon electricity system.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical, commercial, and policy‑focused teams.
- Curiosity, commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving business challenges.
- Experience preparing presentations, reports, and recommendations for senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
