We are partnering with a highly successful, globally operating SaaS business right here in Sydney. They build data-driven software and platforms that power the global automotive industry, handling massive amounts of data across parts, service, and enterprise analytics.

With a massive global footprint and a modern tech stack, they are looking for a senior technical leader to help shape the future of their core platforms.

The Role

As the Solutions Architect, you will be the technical mastermind behind the company's data‑heavy SaaS products. You will not only design highly scalable, end‑to‑end solutions but also act as a mentor to the engineering teams and a strategic partner to the wider business. If you love taking ownership of enterprise architecture and driving modern, "target‑state" tech adoption, this is your playground.

What you will be doing

- End-to-End Design: Drive the architectural vision and design fit‑for‑purpose, scalable solutions for complex new features and product enhancements.
- Strategic Alignment: Act as the vital bridge between product, engineering, and business stakeholders, translating commercial needs into robust technical realities.
- Enterprise Governance: Champion architectural standards, ensuring all new designs are secure, high‑performing, and aligned with the broader enterprise roadmap.




- Problem Solving: Autonomously identify architectural bottlenecks and troubleshoot complex system issues before they become roadblocks.
- Technical Leadership: Play a pivotal role in the architecture peer group, mentoring junior staff and driving the adoption of best practices across data security and application performance.

What you bring to the table

- Coding Chops: Robust background in software engineering, ideally with high proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
- Deep Data Expertise: Proven track record of designing large‑scale data platforms, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and real‑time streaming environments (e.g., Databricks, Apache Spark).
- Modern Pipelines: Excellent grasp of modern ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and CI/CD pipelines for data operations.
- Next-Gen Tech: Hands‑on exposure to, or a strong understanding of, AI/ML data architectures is highly desirable.
- Cloud Native: A solid background in AWS ecosystems (an AWS Solutions Architect Certification will be highly regarded!).
