Department and location: Xavier 9 North, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst
Salary: $74,317.94 - $104,336.27 + super
Responsibilities
- Provide acute inpatient, person‑centred care to older adults.
- Evaluate and manage the physical, cognitive, functional and social issues of older adults.
- Deliver evidence‑based nursing care to people of all ages and cultural groups, including individuals, families and communities.
- Take a leadership role in the coordination of nursing and health care within and across different care contexts to facilitate optimal health outcomes.
- Practice independently and interdependently, assuming accountability and responsibility for own actions and delegation of care to enrolled nurses and health care workers.
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
- Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in daily practice.
- Effective time‑management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team and collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
