The Care Collective is seeking a calm, creative, and nurturing nanny on behalf of a warm and supportive family based in Newport.

This is a rewarding ongoing position caring for two bright sisters after school. The family values creativity, healthy living, independence, and childhood curiosity, and they are looking for someone who can bring a calm, engaging, and enriching presence into the home.

This role is more than just school pick up. The successful nanny will play an important part in the children’s afternoon routine, supporting their learning, encouraging independence, preparing healthy meals and snacks, and creating meaningful activities such as arts and crafts, yoga stretches, bike rides, and hands on meal preparation.

This position would suit someone who genuinely enjoys guiding children’s development, building strong connections, and creating a calm, structured, and positive home environment.

Location: Newport, QLD 4020

Start Date: ASAP (school terms only)

Children: 2 children aged 5 and 8

Days and Hours:

Monday - Friday 3:00PM - 6:00PM

OR

Mondays and Thursdays 3:00PM - 6:00PM

AND

Monday - Friday 3:00PM - 6:00PM17th August - 7th September (whilst other nanny is on holidays)

Their current nanny is able to continue providing care three days per week.



We are therefore seeking either a nanny available five days per week to take over the full role, or a nanny available two days per week to complement the existing care arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Take the children to after school activities as required
- Prepare healthy, sugar free meals and snacks
- Create shopping lists for meal preparation, with groceries ordered online by Mum
- Encourage the 8 year old to be involved in meal preparation
- Assist with showering and general hygiene routines
- Supervise and support homework and quiet learning activities
- Plan calm and creative activities, such as arts and crafts, yoga, and bike rides
- Provide gentle guidance and encourage independence rather than doing tasks for the children
- Maintain a calm home setting, with no loud music or boisterous behaviour
- Ensure the children are safely cared for

Nanny Requirements:

- Previous nanny or early years childcare experience
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- A creative and engaging personality
- Strong meal planning and cooking skills
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Genuine enthusiasm for supporting children’s learning, development, and independence
- Confidence managing after school routines and transitions
