We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mandarin-speaking Intermediate Accountant to join a well-established and supportive organisation based in the beautiful Southern Highlands. Please note: This is a full-time office-based position located in Bowral. No remote or hybrid working arrangements are available.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the senior finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting function across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role offering variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to further develop your technical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with monthly management reporting and variance analysis
- Support year-end processes and external audits
- Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Contribute to funding reconciliations and resident billing
- Identify and implement process improvements across finance functions
About You
- Fluent Mandarin and English communication skills are essential
- 3–5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong general ledger and reconciliation experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across different entities
- CPA or CA qualified (or currently working towards)
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Proactive, team-oriented, and eager to learn
- Experience within healthcare (desirable, not essential)
