Our client, a leading commercial laundry provider, is seeking reliable and physically fit Washroom Production Assistants to join their team in Footscray.
This is a physically demanding role working in the soiled linen processing area, handling used commercial laundry. The environment involves strong odours and repetitive manual handling, so we are particularly interested in applicants who have previously worked in the food processing, meat processing, waste management, recycling, or similar industries and are comfortable working in these conditions.
Duties include:
- Sorting and handling soiled commercial linen
- Hanging linen onto automated ironing machines
- Picking, packing, folding, and preparing orders
- Moving linen trolleys throughout the production area
- Maintaining a safe and productive work area
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience in food processing, meat processing, waste management, recycling, manufacturing, production, labouring, or warehouse environments
- Good physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive manual handling
- Comfort working around soiled linen and strong odours
- A reliable attitude and strong work ethic
What's on offer:
- $33-$34 per hour
- Monday to Friday, 6:00am-2:00pm
