Injury Management and Wellbeing Specialist

Auriga Group is a safe, focused, customer centric, and dedicated team of Marine and Aviation professionals located across Australia. Auriga Group is made up of three operating divisions, including Auriga Pilots, Auriga Marine and Auriga Aviation, providing operational services across 20 locations nationally.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Injury Management and Wellbeing Specialist to join our team, reporting to the Head of HR.

About this role

This new specialist position will be responsible is responsible for leading Auriga Group's injury management, workers' compensation and employee wellbeing programs across Australia. You will focus on achieving optimal recovery and return-to-work outcomes for injured employees, minimising workers' compensation costs, ensuring legislative compliance, and implementing proactive wellbeing initiatives that support a healthy, safe and productive workforce.

We are seeking a reliable and adaptable professional who can work effectively under pressure, manage ad hoc responsibilities, and thrive both independently and as part of a team.

What you'll be doing

- Manage all workers' compensation matters across Auriga Group.
- Act as the primary point of contact for insurers, rehabilitation providers, legal representatives and regulators.
- Manage complex psychological injury matters in conjunction with external specialists and legal advisors.
- Ensure compliance with legislative obligations and insurer requirements across all jurisdictions.
- Provide expert advice to operational managers regarding injury management and return-to-work obligations.
- Provide proactive injury management support to employees from the time of injury through to recovery and return to work, ensuring employees remain engaged, informed and supported throughout the process.
- Develop, implement and monitor tailored return-to-work plans, coordinating with employees, managers, treating practitioners,



rehabilitation providers and insurers to facilitate the earliest safe return to productive work.
- Monitor and report on return-to-work outcomes, claim duration, lost-time injury trends and recovery milestones, implementing strategies to continuously improve return-to-work performance across the Group.
- Design, implement and evaluate employee wellbeing initiatives.

What we're looking for

- Min. 5 years' experience managing workers' compensation and injury management programs.
- Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification (RRTWC).
- Sound knowledge of Queensland and Western Australian workers' compensation legislation or the demonstrated capability to rapidly acquire expert-level knowledge.
- Experience managing psychological injury claims.
- Experience with insurers, legal representatives, rehabilitation providers and regulators.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources; Allied Health; Occupational Rehabilitation; Workplace Health & Safety; Psychology; or Related discipline.
- Background in high-risk or operational industries.
