Offer Description

- Based in College of Sciences at the City East Campus
- Salary per annum (Level A Step 6- Step 8 $103,962 - $111,384); Level B ($117,100 - $138,515) plus 17% Superannuation.
- 1 Full-time (1.0FTE), fixed-term contract for 21 months. Part-time (0.5 FTE) work pattern may be considered, salary pro-rata

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow position will support research on our Defence Innovation Partnership project with Flinders University and Fivecast, focussed on data science, network analysis, and mathematical modelling - with opportunities to pursue independent research.

The team

The successful applicant will be a member of the Adelaide Data Science Centre, based within the School of Mathematical Sciences, and collaborating with a community of researchers across the College of Sciences and beyond.

To be successful atLevel A address theselection criteria

- A PhD or equivalent in data science, social network analysis, mathematical modelling, statistics, or related discipline
- Demonstrated publication track record in data science, social network analysis, mathematical modelling, statistics, or related discipline
- Ability to conduct independent research in addition to working effectively as a member of a research team in a complex setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent good organisational and time management skills
- Advanced computational skills, including demonstrated ability to wrangle large text-based datasets and perform numerical simulations

To be successful atLevel B please address theselection criteria
