Business Review Group is seeking an experienced Cost and Finance Analyst to support the Team-oriented and Autonomous Systems Project Office (CASPO) at Amberley.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of AIR6015 Air Autonomous Collaborative Platforms and the MQ-28 Ghost Bat capability, providing specialist cost analysis, financial forecasting, modelling and project support.

Key Responsibilities
- Support project financial management, including forecasts, cost estimates and cost models.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support project planning and decision-making.
- Analyse cost drivers, trends and variances, translating complex data into clear financial insights.
- Provide financial and commercial advice to project teams, senior leaders and other stakeholders.
- Support procurement activities, including financial analysis of proposals and tender responses.
- Ensure financial activities align with Defence policies, frameworks and governance requirements.
- Assist the finance team with cost modelling, estimation and reporting.
- Support broader project controls, administration and program-delivery activities.
- Improve financial management tools, reporting processes and data quality.
- Build productive working relationships across Defence and industry.
- Undertake occasional interstate travel where required.
Essential Requirements
- Approximately 5-7 years' experience in cost estimation, financial modelling, forecasting or project finance.
- Experience working within Defence, government or another complex project environment.
- Demonstrated capability in cost analysis, cost management and cost modelling.
- Strong understanding of Defence financial management, costing frameworks and procurement processes.
- Experience preparing project forecasts and communicating financial insights for major programs.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formula development, modelling and forecasting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and industry partners.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, governance and data integrity.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality work under pressure.
Desirable Experience
- Project controls and project-support experience.
- Experience with Defence documentation and writing standards.
- Experience supporting procurement or tender-evaluation activities.
- Proficiency with Power BI or other data visualisation and business intelligence tools.
- A bachelor's degree in finance, financial management or a related discipline.
- An advanced diploma or associate degree in program or project management.
