Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly Brand and Retailer Profit & Loss reports and provide analysis on financial performance.
- Maintain annual cash flow and balance sheet forecasts, updating monthly with actual results to support management reporting and financial planning, assess covenants.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports across multiple business entities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities for required entities.
Multi-Entity Financial Management
- Manage finance full function/ monthly reporting of required entities
- Accounts Payable/ Receivable Management and remittance processing/ data entry.
Licensing & Royalty Management
- Prepare monthly royalty calculations and quarterly royalty forecast submissions.
- Prepare quarterly and six-monthly licensing sales reports and profit share calculations for licensing partners.
- Complete quarterly royalty submissions through various licensing portals.
Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Prepare and lodge monthly IAS and quarterly BAS returns.
- Assist with statutory reporting and ensure compliance with taxation obligations.
- Other regulatory reporting requirements as required.
Business Partnering & Continuous Improvement
- Attend monthly management meetings and provide financial insights to support business decisions.
- Assist with process improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of finance systems and reporting.
- Maintain insurance renewals and coordinate premium management.
Finance Leadership & Development
- Develop a thorough understanding of end-to-end finance operations across the main business including cross training on the full Finance Manager function to provide backup support when required.
- Provide assistance with additional finance projects and ad hoc responsibilities as required.
About You
You’ll be a CA or CPA qualified accountant with strong accounting skills and the commercial mindset with a hands-on approach to support a growing business. You’ll be comfortable managing multiple entities, working independently and as part of a team, and partnering with stakeholders across the organisation.
You’ll also bring:
- 5+ years' experience in financial accounting or management accounting.
- Experience in FMCG, wholesale, manufacturing or retail environments.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cash flow management and statutory compliance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP system experience
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines across multiple entities.
