Graphic Designer / Customer & Stakeholder Management

Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking a Graphic Designer to join a large Queensland Government infrastructure organisation responsible for delivering transport projects and services that connect communities across North Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced designer to create engaging visual communications across print, digital, video and online platforms that support community engagement, stakeholder communication and the delivery of major infrastructure initiatives.

About the role

Working within a collaborative Customer & Stakeholder Management team, you'll play a key role in developing creative communication materials that help inform communities, support project delivery and enhance stakeholder engagement across a diverse regional portfolio.

You will work closely with project teams, communication professionals and senior stakeholders to translate complex information into clear, engaging and accessible visual content.

Key responsibilities include:

- Develop high-quality creative design solutions that support strategic communication and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Design and produce a wide variety of communication materials, including publications, brochures, newsletters, presentations, maps, displays, digital advertising, social media content and video.
- Provide expert advice on branding, visual communication and creative asset development.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliver innovative visual solutions.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality.
- Ensure all creative outputs comply with corporate branding standards and accessibility requirements.
- Coordinate external suppliers including printers, photographers, videographers, illustrators and animators.




- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with graphic design teams across the department to maintain consistency in branding and design standards.

About you

You’ll bring a strong creative portfolio, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a rapid-paced environment.

You’ll also demonstrate:

- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Premiere Pro) and Microsoft Office.
- Experience delivering high-quality creative work across print, digital and video platforms.
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), including accessible PDFs and Microsoft Word documents.
- Experience developing visual communications within large corporate, infrastructure or government environments.
- Strong organisational, stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working within established branding and style guidelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a customer-focused approach.

Desirable

- Five or more years' experience in graphic design, visual communication or digital design.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Knowledge of Queensland Government communication processes and branding requirements.

Role Details

- Location: Cairns or Townsville
- Work Arrangement: Office-based with flexible work arrangements available following an initial probation period.
- Contract Length: Initial 9 months with 2 x 12 month possible extensions
