About the Role

Due to continued growth across Sydney and the Northern Beaches, we’re seeking a dedicated all-round Tow Truck Operator / Owner Driver. This is strictly roadside assistance — there is no accident towing required . Applicants must be based in this area. Whether you already own your truck or you’re ready to take the step into ownership, this is a genuine pathway to running your own business with the backing of an established national brand. At Nationwide, we will guide you throughout from starting your company and growing it. The role requires adherence to industry regulations, company policies, and a strong commitment to safety including:

- Perform a variety of daily roadside assistance tasks with adaptability and efficiency
- Ensure the safe, efficient and damage-free transport of vehicles
- Operate Tilt Tray trucks safely and effectively
- Follow all Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) for loading, securing, transporting and unloading
- Comply with state, territory and national road laws, including heavy vehicle and fatigue regulations
- Expand your expertise by working with our heavy fleet, including plant and equipment operations




- Embrace continuous learning and training to enhance your performance
- Grow into managing and recruiting your own team

About You

- Current DC Licence (Tow Truck Driver’s Certificate) — essential
- Based in the Northern Beaches of Sydney, or close by
- You own (or are ready to set up) an ABN/ACN and the required insurances — we’ll guide you through it
- Previous truck driving experience
- Solid knowledge of Sydney and surrounding areas
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Motivated and ready to own and operate your own business
- Flexible availability, including after-hours
- A commitment to safety, professionalism and teamwork
