Occupational Therapist - Grade 2 (Casual Hand Therapy)

Salary: Grade 2 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to join the Hand Therapy service at Western Health. The service is primarily trauma-based and works closely with the plastic and reconstructive surgical team. The successful applicant must have well developed assessment and treatment skills in the delivery of evidence based, person centred Occupational Therapy services in the area of hand therapy. They will be working as part of an innovative and energetic multidisciplinary team and will be involved in the supervision of Grade 1 OT and/or Allied Health Assistant staff. Sound communication and organisational skills are essential for this position.

Key responsibilities:

- Deliverhigh qualityperson centred interprofessional care
- Demonstrate independent clinical reasoning and clinical competencies
- Demonstrate developed organisational skills and efficient time management to appropriately evaluate,prioritiseand complete workload
- Perform evidence based clinical services using aperson centredapproach
- and guidelines

About you:

- Have extensive knowledge and experience in hand therapy service provision
- Demonstrate commitment to provision of occupation-based client centred occupational therapy practice
- Have strong collaboration skills
- Demonstrate consolidated clinical leadership skills
- Experience working in hand therapy
