National Aftersales/ Service Manager/ Service Operations Manager

360 Automation is an international company with offices in the UK and Australia, and one of the fastest growing and most progressive machine tool distributors in the industry. We're looking for a hands-on leader to run our national installations, aftersales, and service operations across Australia. It's a broad role covering service, spares, and day-to-day operations, leading a capable team and reporting directly to the Board of Directors.

The role:

- Lead and support our service technicians nationally, including scheduling, dispatch, and technical backup
- Coordinate breakdown response and tech support, delegating to the team and stepping in where needed
- Oversee spare parts operations: ordering, stock, pricing, and logistics with international suppliers
- Manage customer relationships on service issues, warranty, and aftersales
- Plan and oversee installation projects through to commissioning and sign-off




- Work closely with our UK team and international suppliers on service, parts, and technical matters
- Report directly to the Board of Directors on operations performance

About you:

- 5+ years in service/aftersales management in industrial or technical equipment
- Experience with machine tools, high-power laser systems, or robotics highly regarded but not essential
- A natural delegator and coordinator who's still comfortable getting hands-on when it counts
- Proven leadership of field service teams
- Strong organisational and commercial skills across scheduling, budgets, and supplier management
- Confident communicator, comfortable working across time zones with international colleagues and suppliers
- Melbourne based, willing to travel interstate as required
