MC Drivers – Gateshead to Port Macquarie/Taree

Cahill Transport is seeking experienced and reliable MC Drivers to join our Gateshead operations completing scheduled runs between Gateshead, Port Macquarie and Taree.

Enjoy a consistent 5 day full-time roster, 8:00 PM departures, modern automatic trucks, and a supportive team environment with a stable national transport company.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Completing scheduled runs between Gateshead, Port Macquarie and Taree safely and efficiently.
- Working a consistent 5 day full-time PM roster with 8:00 PM departures.
- Operating modern automatic fleet vehicles.
- Completing pick-ups and deliveries across scheduled depot and customer locations.
- Reversing to roller doors and loading and unloading dollies.
- Splitting and coupling trailers for multiple drops.
- Completing load restraint using pogo bars, E-tracks and other restraint equipment.
- Managing delivery schedules while maintaining fatigue compliance and safety standards.
- Maintaining a professional presentation and strong customer service at all times.

What You’ll Bring

- Current MC licence with a minimum of 2 years' relevant driving experience.




- Familiarity with load restraint equipment including straps, pogo bars and E-tracks.
- Ability to complete physically demanding tasks including loading/unloading dollies, trailer coupling/uncoupling and repetitive manual handling activities.
- Strong reliability, punctuality and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow scheduled delivery runs.
- Safety-focused attitude with a good understanding of fatigue management obligations.
- Professional communication skills and a team-focused mindset.
