We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Chief Growth & Commercial Officer to join our Executive Team in this newly created role to help shape the next phase of growth and impact across the Pacific Link Housing Group.
This is a unique prospect to combine commercial strategy, business development, government and stakeholder engagement, advocacy, marketing and communications in a role with genuine social purpose.
The Chief Growth & Commercial Officer will have a Group-wide remit spanning Pacific Link Housing, Key2 Realty and Renew Projects, and includes supporting the organisation's broader property development and growth agenda.
What You'll Be Doing
As Chief Growth & Commercial Officer, you will lead the identification and pursuit of new business, funding and strategic partnership opportunities across the Group. You will bring together commercial thinking and social purpose, ensuring that growth opportunities align with our strategic priorities, organisational values and commitment to our communities.
Identify and pursue new business, funding, development and strategic partnership opportunities
Lead high-quality tenders, EOIs, grant applications and funding proposals
Build and maintain strong relationships with government, regulators, councils, industry, philanthropic and strategic partners
Support the CEO with corporate affairs, advocacy, government engagement and stakeholder relations
Monitor government policy, funding programs and sector developments to identify emerging opportunities
Lead proactive advocacy and thought leadership on social and affordable housing
Oversee marketing, communications, media, public relations and brand strategy
Oversee ESG reporting and related communications
Contribute to strategic initiatives as a member of the Executive Team
What You'll Bring to the Team
This is a time of significant change and opportunity across the housing sector, with evolving government funding and management models. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the Group respond to this workplace, identify new opportunities and build a sustainable future.
To thrive in this role you’ll also need:
At least 5 years' experience in a senior management or executive-level role within commercial, property, housing, infrastructure, government or not-for-profit environments
Demonstrated experience in business development, strategic partnerships, commercial growth or a related leadership role
Experience working with government stakeholders, funding models and complex partnerships
Demonstrated experience leading complex tenders, grants, funding proposals or strategic submissions
Excellent written communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Strong project management and organisational capability
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability and commercial judgement
An understanding of the community housing and/or broader not-for-profit sector is highly desirable
Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, governance, social sciences or a related discipline, or equivalent senior-level experience
