A broad, commercially focused in-house legal role where you'll partner with the business, influence key decisions and own the legal function in a stand-alone capacity.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll be the trusted legal advisor across the organisation, providing pragmatic commercial advice while partnering with leaders to help drive business outcomes.

You'll enjoy the variety that comes with supporting a growing Australian business - one day negotiating strategic commercial agreements, the next working alongside engineers to protect intellectual property, managing property matters, or advising on emerging legal and compliance issues.

The Role

As the company's sole in-house legal professional, you'll take ownership of a diverse legal portfolio, including:

- Providing commercially focused legal advice across all areas of the business.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
- Managing disputes, claims and legal risk in conjunction with key stakeholders.
- Protecting and managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, working closely with engineering and product development teams.
- Overseeing property matters including leases, acquisitions, fit-outs and construction contracts.
- Supporting company secretarial and corporate governance activities, including oversight of international compliance requirements.




- Developing and maintaining legal templates, policies and compliance frameworks.
- Partnering with external law firms on litigation, patents and specialist legal matters.
- Supporting sustainability reporting initiatives, including implementation of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 disclosure requirements.

About You

- Experience across commercial contracts, corporate and general commercial law.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and legal advisory skills.
- The confidence to operate autonomously and manage a varied legal workload.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with sound commercial judgement.
- A proactive approach to see where you could add value in a diverse and growing organisation with an international footprint.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships and be a sounding board across the business.
- The flexibility to move comfortably between strategic legal issues and happy tackling day-to-day operational matters.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
