Onsite Network Engineer (BAU Operations) Industry: Enterprise Networking | Higher Education | Managed Services

Are you a hands-on Network Engineer who enjoys solving real-world infrastructure challenges in a large-scale enterprise environment?

We're looking for an Onsite Network Engineer to support a local University, providing day-to-day operational support across a complex multi-campus network environment. This is a highly visible role where you'll work directly with stakeholders, support critical network services, and help maintain the stability and performance of one of Australia's largest university networks.

What You'll Be Doing

- Provide day-to-day BAU support for their enterprise network environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents affecting staff, students, and university services.
- Support switching, wireless, network access control, routing, and security services.
- Monitor network health, investigate alerts, and proactively identify service issues.
- Execute approved network changes and operational improvements.
- Work closely with stakeholders, project teams, and senior network engineers.
- Assist with campus moves, adds, changes, and operational network requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation, support procedures, and operational records.

What You'll Bring

- Experience supporting enterprise network environments.
- Robust troubleshooting skills across switching, routing, wireless,



and access technologies.
- Experience working within Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently in a customer-facing onsite role.
- A proactive and ownership-driven approach to operational support.

- HPE Aruba Switching
- Ruckus Wireless
- Enterprise Wireless Technologies (Cisco, Aruba, Extreme or equivalent)
- Aruba ClearPass (NAC)
- Network Switching & Routing
- Enterprise Campus Networks
- ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms
- Network Monitoring & Operational Toolsets
- Network Access Control (NAC)
- Firewall and Security Operations

Highly Regarded (Not Essential)

- Citrix ADC / NetScaler Load Balancers
- Aruba Central
- Palo Alto Firewalls
- Network Analytics & Reporting Platforms
- Experience working in Higher Education environments
