We are seeking a reliable dental assistant who enjoys working in a small, close-knit practice. This role would be for up to 38 hours a week and would suit someone who is happy working independently at times, values building strong relationships with patients and enjoys being an important part of a small team.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting dentists during patient treatments and procedures
- Preparing treatment room and sterilising dental instruments according to infection control protocol
- Recording patient treatment notes and updating patient records accurately
- Providing chairside support during examinations, fillings, extractions and other dental procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised surgery environment
- Sterilisation and dental waste disposal in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Supporting the dentist with administrative tasks as needed
What we're looking for
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Warm, caring and reliable.
- Experience in a dental practice is highly desirable.
