Commercial Building Certifier/Building Regulations Consultant

This is a senior, hands-on role offering a genuine mix of office-based technical assessments and in office inspections across a diverse range of commercial projects. Whether you’re already registered or working towards registration, this role is ideal for someone with strong commercial building surveying experience who enjoys practical site work, technical problem solving and working closely with builders, designers and developers. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct mandatory and critical stage inspections on commercial and residential projects
- Assess plans and documentation for compliance with the NCC and relevant legislation
- Prepare certification assessments and recommendations
- Provide practical technical advice to builders, architects, developers and owners
- Prepare defect reports and work collaboratively with builders to resolve compliance matters
- Undertake occupancy inspections and support certification processes through to completion




- Mentor junior Building Surveyors and provide technical guidance where required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders

About You

- Experience as a Building Surveyor or Building Regulations Consultant within a commercial environment
- Commercial project experience is essential (residential experience also highly regarded)
- Registration is welcomed but not essential
- Strong working knowledge of the National Construction Code (NCC)
- Practical site inspection experience and confidence working directly with builders
- Ability to provide practical, commercially focused compliance advice
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
