Grantz Restaurant, located within TRYP by Wyndham Southport Gold Coast, is seeking a passionate and experienced Qualified Chef to join our growing culinary team.

We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in producing exceptional food, and is committed to delivering outstanding dining experiences for our guests.

About the Role

As a Qualified Chef, you will play an integral role in the daily operation of our kitchen, preparing high-quality dishes while maintaining exceptional food safety and presentation standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver an cutting-edge and consistent menu across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards.
- Assist with menu planning and seasonal menu development.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
- Minimise food waste and contribute to effective kitchen cost control.
- Adhere to all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.




- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff where required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a qualified chef in a busy restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of modern Australian cuisine and contemporary cooking techniques.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and team-focused approach.
- Availability to work a flexible roster across a 7-day week, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or unrestricted work visa).
